This Vermont plein air paint the common call for artists invitation is extended to all those wishing to experience one of Vermont most beautiful town greens while an active farmers market is in operation. The Vermont Plein Air Paint the Common event is produced by the Craftsbury Farmers Market in collaboration with Plein Air Northeast Kingdom. Come just for the fun of it and enjoy socializing with fellow artists while creating your version of the stunning scenery of the Craftsbury Common town green. A live Craftsbury Farmers’ Market will be in progress setting the stage for a quintessential Vermont subject. Here’s your opportunity to create your rendition of one of Vermont’s most beautiful & iconic town greens while our farmers’ market is in progress. During the Craftsbury Farmers Market on July 21th, artists will select their subject and draw or paint the Common and/or our farmers market. All artists, professional, amateur or student are welcome to participate. Come by yourself and join other artists or bring artist friends and/or students.
En plein air painting in Vermont is alive, well and thriving. Vermont is the perfect subject for en plein air painting with its pastoral landscape, rolling hills, mountains, gentle and not-so-gentle waterways, eclectic and diverse architecture towns and cities and picture postcard, white picket fence villages. Craftsbury, VT is a great example of a beautiful working landscape and a stunning green on Craftsbury Common.
The Craftsbury Farmers Market will include all artists registering from this page, in promotions leading up to this event, at our website, and our Facebook page. Promotion may include a photo, biography, examples of artwork and links to your website and/or social media pages.
